Description
No, not that Twilight movie with sparkly "Vampires" by Stephanie Meyer.
I have this idea for sometime before the movie Carrie came out. I find Twilight Sparkle in Equestria Girls and Carrie quite matching: social outcast or weird girl of the high school, has a 'mean-girl' rival, about to become crowned at a school dance (Twilight become the high school princess and Carrie become the high school prom queen), and have telekinetic ability.
Regrettably, I have not seen the movie Carrie yet but I know the idea and seen the Prom Scene in the old 1976 version of Carrie so the new one should have the same plot.
If you were wonder how did drew this? First, find a Carrie movie poster on Google and copy-and-paste it to Illustrator where the first half of the work begins. Try to mimic from scratch by illustrating the blood and use type and position almost exactly like in the poster. I use Californian font. On to the crown. Again, google image Twilight's crown for reference and illustrate it.
On the second half of the work is in Photoshop. Send my illustrated work to Photoshop. To tell you the truth, I've sort of cheated, the surface in the background is actually the original poster that I clone-painted and color-balance it and transparent it. Do some tweaking and I'm done.
My personal critique:
I wish I get the name of the person who voiced G1 Twilight as a role for Twilight Velvet, Twilight Sparkle's mother, just so I can put her name on the right-top corner for casting. And for the bottom, I guess Hasbro studios is the only studio for this imaginary movie.
And I must admit, I do like the idea of having the title "Twilight" when it is not really Stephanie Meyer's Twilight franchise to mock it. But hey, the title "Carrie" is actual the name of the main character, and so will Twilight.
My first poster idea where Twilight mad and bloodied like in the other poster in school.
I don't what best title to put in for dA to differentiate from other artworks with the word "Twilight" but it is the best I can think of.
